The Northumberland County School Board welcomes new employees.
The Northumberland County School Board welcomed 18 new teachers at the orientation meeting held at the School Board office on August 24.
Sterling Harris will be teaching U.S. History and is the new soccer coach. Zachary Moore is looking forward to “an interesting year” with Northumberland County’s first graders. Howard Aderholt is the new High School Counselor. Shanita Curry will be teaching special education classes in the Middle School. Dale Harter is the new Librarian. Jessica Rill is the new school counselor for the elementary and middle school. Jasmine Burrell just got her Masters at VCU in Social Services and is the new social worker for Northumberland County. Shae Rhodes will begin her first year teaching Special Education classes at the Middle School. Holly Rynard is a Special Education teacher and will be teaching at the High School. Tia Felton has been teaching for 16 years, and is “looking forward to her first year with Northumberland County’s fourth graders.” Marcus Cutler, a seventh grade math teacher will be pulling double duty as the new athletic director and football coach at the High School. Michael Baker will be the new history teacher at the High School Lenore Marque is an eighth grade math teacher. Sarah Ganrude will be teaching chemistry at the High School. Molly Frazier will be teaching English to the seventh and eighth grade students. Shauna McCranie will be teaching the academics and arts to the gifted and talented students. Dawn Seto is the new music teacher at the Elementary School. Tracey White is the new C.E.T. teacher at the High School.
